  1. Yeah. Happy birthday Obama. They’re throwing you a 30,000$ birthday party.

…and we wonder why we’re in debt.

  2. Wait, is he mad that they told gay people they can marry in California?

Ahhhh, now who’s up on current events? If somebody could just tell me who Bret Favre and Obama are…

  3. I guess he’s saying that people shouldn’t need to celebrate something that should just be the norm anyway? That’s the only way I can read it without him being a big stupidhead.

  4. wonder, thank your lucky stars.

george iv (prince regent of england)’s coronation cost about $40 000 000 in today’s money. and it took place at a time when england was completely crippled by luddism and the cost of the napoleonic wars.

$30 000 barely gets you a couple of high class hookers these days. also i’m sure most of those birthday parties on ‘my sweet 16′ cost more than that. and he is the statesman of the most powerful country on earth…

  5. good analogy Aaron. Thats exactly what Brett Favre is like.

  6. 30,000 seems like a lot of money to me… even with the comparisons.

Nonetheless, USA is screwed in my opinion, and Obama is just making it worse…

  7. Doing my best Marilyn Monroe impersonation right here, I’m singing this to you, Barack…

Haaaappy Biiiirthdaaaay, Mr President, Haaaaappy Biiiirthdaaaay, toooo yoooooou!

  8. The fact that anyone is celebrating the Prop 8 ruling is a travesty. Marriage is a sacred institution between one man and one woman. Adam and Eve can marry. Adam and Steve, Adam and Spot (his dog), Adam and Adam’s sister…where does it end? And people wonder why America is infested with abortions, unwanted pregnancies, pedophilia and the like. We have lost our moral compass, especially in regard to sexual activity. By teaching kids that this type of behavior is acceptable we are encouraging depravity and sin.

I’m old enough to have grown up during the AIDS outbreak (Back then it was called “GRID” or Gay Related Immune Deficiency). There is no doubt that the epidemic, which we still live with, was a result of the promiscuous nature of homosexuals and God’s punishment for engaging in such vile activity.

    As found in Romans 1:26-28

“For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper”

  9. word, i’m starting to get an idea of your taste for men:

you like ones with a penis.

    :-D

  10. Right on, fargy.

  11. Damn, Fargis. You put effort into that one. Except that I’m pretty sure you got your facts wrong, in that Prop 8 opposed gay marriage and is what banned it in California.

  12. Yes I do, alord, but more importantly, they must have balls.

  13. @Brah – Prop 8 was overturned yesterday which is the ruling to which I was referring

  14. My moral compass stopped pointing me in the right direction long ago.

    I’m lost.

  15. I’m pretty sure Ryan is quoting what Stephen Colbert said on The Colbert Report, hence LAME.

  16. you tell’em dan! sometimes it seems like you’re the only sane person on this website! the only one with a decent moral center! Palin/Marceaux 2012!

  17. Ah, I see. Sorry about that, Fargis.

  18. Oh Aaron, you hold the key to my heart! ♥

  19. Dammit, Dan Fargis has given me an erection again

  20. Oh man, all these pseudo-moralists, so-called pro-lifers make me wanna vomit. If the state shouldn’t get involved with marriage, why should anyone else? Sigh. The day people learn to respect each other for what they are…

  21. @dan_fargis:
There was a translation error. What I meant was:
“For this reason God gave them over to awesome passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is more natural, and in the same way also the men enjoyed the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing decent acts and receiving in their own persons the cream of sum yung gai. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God still loved them, while they continued to do those things which are most proper”

    See, my son?

  22. almightygod, I love you. Amen.

  23. Not as much as I love you, wordpervert.

  24. I love ya’lls arguments. :D

  25. I hold the sacred belief that Fargis needs to be hit by a bus

  26. Revelation 22:18-21

“For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.”
Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”

  27. Maybe it’s a stretch, but do you guys remember that game you play with fortune cookies where you read it and then finish it with “in bed”?

For instance, “In time, you will gain great rewards… IN BED!”

I really wish people like Dan Fargis would end all his belief and opinion statements with “to me.”

For instance, “Marriage is a sacred institution between a man and a woman… TO ME.”

or, “Jesus is the Lord and Savior… TO ME.”

It would greatly enhance his credibility, no?

  28. OneBigAssMistakeAmerica

  29. @dubs7: You could be right, but Palin presiding over any lands beyond the Alaskan border would have been an even bigger mistake and you know it. Votes are merely the choice of the lesser of two evils. The US chose Obama as their necessary evil, and you’re going to have to live with that for another 6 years unless the Repubs finally stop contradicting themselves with all that religious hypocrisy.

  30. @Wonderbread

Yeah, Obama’s birthday party, which is not paid for using public funds/taxpayer dollars and is in fact a fundraiser for the DNC paid for by Chicago billionaire Neil Bluhm, that’s DEFINITELY the cause of an appalling national deficit. Outrageous! Impeach him! Muslim! Socialist! Nazi! Steelers fan! Disgusting.

Not to mention the fact that the $30,000 figure is actually the cost that guests have to pay to attend the birthday party fundraiser. (Outrage! Taking advantage of the wealthy!)

However, I don’t expect people to check their facts or utilize reason when forming opinions. It’s not our responsibility to be informed! It’s only our job to get really upset about things based on limited knowledge and half truths and come up with catchy acronyms that will fit on bumper stickers we can affix to our Hummers. That’s what real ‘mericans do!

    Anyway.

  31. First off I have to agree with 24 and Eepah for 27…. ;)

Next, I’d like to say that Duffles is awesome and almightygod is now my hero. :)

There are all sorts of people in the world, some are criminals to help you know the difference between right and wrong and some have different points of view and religions so we can have something to talk about and disagree on to better our own morals, because with different points of view we can probably say we have different morals, not that one or the other is better (because they’re not), just different. What makes us live in harmony is allowing the difference with out confrontation and with understanding. If we let each other live for their own we can coexist in all aspects. What’s good for one is not good for all, but you shouldn’t make that one follow just because they are different.

With a lack of sleep for 48 hours I hope that made sense….

  32. campbellconey, care to dance…?

  33. ha ha ha!!!! campbellconey you are only partially right and I’m not only talking about what was actually said.

  34. alordslums, you actually had me at “luddism” and “napoleonic wars.”

  35. SomeRandomChick

I usually laugh at the stupidity of trolls but I can honestly say that I hate this fargus nut bag.

  36. A U.S citizenship lesson for our foreign friends:

Court decides a case in a manner you agree with: Moral, upstanding, patriotic Judge

Court decides a case in a manner you don’t agree with: ACTIVIST!! judge who should be recalled!

  37. @ Karaokelove
    Thank you, haha.

And I think you’re right. It’s pretty much like the Ying-Yang principle, good can’t exist without evil.
I mean, wouldn’t it be plain boring if everyone was homo
… geneous? (See what I did there?)

Anyway, I’m happy I live in a country where gay people can get married if they want to.

  38. @dan_fargis if you don’t want to marry someone of the same sex, that’s fine. But keep your sanctimonious, judgmental nose out of MY relationship. It’s none of your business, nor is is the government’s.

  39. kamikazefirebats

I like that Drew finds it stupid that a judge is telling people who they can marry by overturning a law that told people who they couldn’t marry. Meh, whatever. I’ve debated this topic one too many times.

  40. Dan Fargis…WOW…are you for real? Do me a favour read this- http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/drlaura.asp letter, read all of the things it says in the Bible to do & come back & tell me you believe this. The Bile is Gods word written by MEN..man make mistakes! Sheesh!!!!

  41. *bible not bile, lol! ;)

  42. @dan_fargis, how does GAY SEX cause abortions? And really, we’re turning to the Bible for how to live our modern, daily lives?

“A marriage shall be considered valid only if the wife is a virgin. If the wife is not a virgin, she shall be executed.” (Deuteronomy 22:13-21)

And of course there’s slavery. Are you pro-slavery, Dan?

“However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way.” (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)

And I guess you’re for mass murder? Cause all of America’s going to be wiped out, with this one.

“Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors. “The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him.” (Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT)

Dan has a lot in common with Al Queda.

    (I can be ridiculous, too.)

  43. Sorry for the length. Guess I didn’t realize how long-winded the Bible is.

  44. Without dan_fargis this entree would’ve sucked. Thx dan, for actually putting a smile on my face when reading something on this site.

  45. @ Dan Fargis : “If you don’t like gay marriage, blame the straight people….they’re the ones that keep having gay babies!!”

  46. The exegesis for the 2nd and 3rd chapters of Genesis makes us nervous. Why? Because the sin Adam and Steve committed, according to the story, was anal sex–the mystery Saint Augustine almost solved 1600 years ago. (He thought the sin was normal penile/vaginal sex!) For more information google “WikiAnswers-What is wrong with Robert Hagedorn’s Blogs”

  47. I joined the priesthood looking for some of that sweet, sweet altar boy ass, but do you realize how old they are? They’re like 12! Not only is that way too old, but at that age, their assholes have already had more religious masses inside them than the Vatican.

  48. soup, you rogue!

  49. @wordpervert – AMEN TO BALLS… AMEN!!!

  50. Paranoid Android

I heart Soup for making me literally LOL on a Monday morning (with hangover).

  51. Vote dan_fargis!

  52. anonymouseinternetuser

dan_fargis is very ignorant. And kinda scary. But lol @ Mama2one – that should shut ‘em up!!

  53. @dan_fargis

You and people like you are the reason I am no longer religious. Thank you for helping me see the errors of my way.

  54. “And people wonder why America is infested with abortions, unwanted pregnancies, pedophilia and the like.”

Lol, what does this have to do with gays, exactly?

Oh, Fargis. You make my penis so happy.
