  1. Hey, Giorgio; Christopher Reeves is dead.

  2. Hey, feckless; Christopher Reeves is not his name.

Christopher Reeve is the former wheelchair bound “Superman,” who is now deceased.

  3. Lesley-Ann gained my sympathy for not knowing Sarah Palin.

  4. Wow. This is stupidity at it’s finest.

  5. Oh look, another post with a guy named Steve. Wait for it…

  6. I’m seriously offended by Lesley-Ann’s comment. Has she never seen a map before? Or did she think Canada was a really, really big state? What a damn tool, this is why the world hates Americans.

  7. gomerinthegrass

    Canada is in America.

  8. people out there in our nation don’t have maps and, uh, I believe that our, uh, education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should, our education over HERE in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, or, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future, for our children.

But seriously, not everyone hates Americans. Love from Australia.

  9. ^lol charlotte, I remember that speech :)

I can’t tell you how many times Americans have asked me what country I’m from in South Africa. The ignorance has become the rule not the exception so posts like this don’t make me laugh, or leave me in shock. It’s just meh.

  10. Hate to break it to you American haters… but that last one is obviously fake.

  11. Maybe this one is fake. But walk one day on American streets pretending to be a foreigner…

  12. Giorgio’s attempts at trolling make me sad.

Canada, as is the United States, is on the North American continent. Morons who confuse America with the United States of America make me very sad.

  13. gomerinthegrass

    I agree duckman

  14. Morons who make idiotic objections to a well-established informal name for a country make me very sad.

  15. I hate to break it to you all, but Canada is in America. Granted, it is not just a really big state of the United States of America, but it is in America none the less. North-America, to be precise.
    Dumbasses.

  16. I hate this entire page!! Can it all just be deleted so we can pretend it never happened???

  17. ^lol agreed. Chill out peeps!

    Team NotadumbassandtheAmazonisAmerican.

  18. Hi guys, just want to let you know that Lesley Ann status is real (I’m the Nat in the comments) and is from England.

  19. Why do I feel it’s worse for a Brit not to know where (and what) Canada is? Come on! We’re practically family!
I always thought we were the retart-cousins.

  20. HA! America just dodged that bullet like we’re Neo from the Matrix!

Thanks for the love Aussie. Back at you.

  21. vaginalroundhouse

Whats the opposite of Christopher Reeves?

    -Christopher Walken

  22. Wait, I am confused. So Canada is not in America? So which continent is it in? Or it’s a continent of its own?

Everyone who commented on that status fails, including you Nat.
+ I wonder how many Brits know that Wales is NOT in England.

  23. oatmealandi – In answer to your last query, pretty much all of us.

  24. Wow. None of the American-haters had the stones to admit their OWN ignorance of incorrectly assuming that Lesley-Ann was from the U.S. Hypocritical much?

By the way, “America” is not a country, you pretentious f**kholes. The United States of America is a country. North America is a continent. North and South America combine to create the Americas.

So Canada, in fact, IS in “America”. I actually once knew a Canadian woman who was outraged that she was not considered an American when she DID live on the American continent.

Perhaps Miss Teen South Carolina 2007 was right after all: maybe you self-righteous knobwads SHOULD educate yourselves with a f**king map.

  25. Common use assigns America to the USA, not to the Americas.

People from the US are American, not Unitedians or USA-ians or anything like that.

Hence, Canada is not part of America, and all of you claiming otherwise are trying to use a less-common meaning for America :p

Your Canadian friend was “North American”, not “American” – there is no “American continent” but two continents of North America and South America.

[The standard way to refer to a citizen of the United States is as an "American". Although "United States" is the official appositional term, "American" and "U.S." are more commonly used to refer to the country adjectivally ("American values", "U.S. forces"). "American" is rarely used in English to refer to people not connected to the United States.]

  26. ^^ Hip hip hooray for the cunt

  27. perpetualstiffy

Gah!! It makes me cringe when kids beyond 3rd grade don’t know basic geography. Is it a subject that is only taught is select areas? At my niece and nephews school they teach them those catchy tunes that include the 50 states and their capitals. There is also another song they know with the continents and countries in them.
No wonder why other countries are laughing at us and kicking our asses in education. The new generation is fat, lazy, stupid and their parents want to blame everyone but themselves. Their kids get fat: Sue Mcdonalds. They get shot while acting all “Gangsta wit’ a gat”: Sue the cops. They kill themselves: Sue Ozzy. Etc, etc.
My family wonders why my wife and I will never have children. (Not that I should be reproducing anyway) I’m not the smartest person but I put myself through college and my wife and I work our asses off to have the good life. Why would we want to ruin that with kids?
The U.S.A. is circling the bowl and the turds are pushing us down faster. The death rattle is not far behind.

  28. That is common usage only in the USA. And only in the USA do yo study North America and South America as different continents. The rest of the world studies the American Continent.

  29. Ok. It is important for me to clarify this : (and keep in mind that I am not a resident of the USA and English is not even my first language)

    fact #1 – America is a continent.

fact #2 – the USA are in America (hence the name, United States of AMERICA)

Fact #3- Canada is ALSO in America (the continent)

Fact #4 – I am reasonably sure most brits know that Wales is not in England, since Brits reffers to “Great-Britain” which includes the Welsh also.

Fact#5 – Education in America fails simply because most people choose to ignore the rest of the world.

Congrats to perpetualstiffy for the comment!

  30. @Psika, So when you said that “Education in America fails” did you mean that it fails in both North America and South America, just North America, or the United States of America. If you meant the USA then your entire comment fails.

  31. I thought it was pretty obvious by my comment that I meant America as in the Continent. the USA is not the only example. Take Brazil as an example. They were a portuguese colony, and yet they most of them don’t even know where Portugual is! So yes, I meant AMERICA (the continente)…

  32. *most of them (take out the “they”, my bad)

  33. *Portugal! (damn… that’s what happens when you try to write in a hurry! lol)

  34. *continent .

OH and.. btw… Not only the USA and Brazil. Most countries in the American continent ignore the rest of the world. In european countries we get to study the USA and the rest of the world but most “americans” (people from the american continent) I’ve met think Europe is a country!
    which leads me to…

fact #6 EUROPE is NOT a country. Europe is a continent formed by 50 countries, 27 of them forming an International Organisation called “The European Union” .

And I don’t see a reason the world should hate the USA since ignorance is pretty much everywhere! lol

  35. Psika, the rest of the world should not hate America because most Americans are ignorant and nationalist pricks, but because we have Palin, Bush, and Bachmann. It’s like the g@dd@mn unholy trinity.
