Actually, Helen Keller was an excellent typist. Her teacher, Anne Sullivan, was so strict that she would tear up a letter if it had a single mistake in it, and would make her type it over again.
Hmmm, funny. I recall affirmative action just starting to take place here in southern Louisiana when I was in junior high, less than 15 years ago.
