If you had a really honest dealer network which actually had access to pure MDMA and was willing to use it uncut, you would still be looking at around 70% MDMA, rest filler just to make the tablets work. Around that anyway, could be down to around 40% active material and up to around 80%. This depends on how the granules are shaped, and how they bind together. If they bind badly together, then you would need much more binding material (and no, you can’t just add water to the mixture).

Apart from that, you’re dealing with a criminal organization with no oversight every time you buy drugs. They usually cut their stuff to maximize profits. An interesting cut mixes MDA (a by product of MDMA production), LSD, and amphetamine. Gets you high, but doesn’t give the well being feeling of MDMA.

BTW, studies have shown proper MDMA to be extremely safe, and the history of the drug in recreational use is pretty good, although the publicized stories often sound bad, they’re actually much less awful than the alcohol deaths which DON’T get reported, and the paracetamol (panodil/tylenol, advil, alvedon..whatever your country calls it) deaths which actually kills more teenagers in UK and USA than most of the illegal drugs combined. Paracetamol is fkn dangerous, and I used to manufacture the stuff (compress the tablets, anyway)

So, when you take ecstasy you’re more likely to get a mixture of interesting chemicals than real MDMA. Even if you DO get real MDMA you really have no guarantee that it’s pure. The tester kits that test for MDMA could be fooled by a pill with 10% MDMA, 40%MDA and 50%talcum powder.
