I like Coldplay. Sue me. And not for nothing, they put on a fantastic show. When I saw them, though, my concert buzz was killed somewhat when they brought the then chubby Shane Warne up on stage with them. I mean, what the fuck? Coldplay is the absolute worst band in the past fifty years, and possibly the worst music of all time, although more likely that award goes to some country artist or a swing band.
Radio-friendly, generic, hum-drum, un-original, so-so, forgettable=Coldplay, in my opinion. It’s funny, NONE of my musicians friends like them, only my friends with otherwise poor taste in music to be completely honest that only listen to stuff that the radio/t.v introduced to them, it seems. I don’t think they’re anywhere near the worst pop band right now though.

They don’t blow me away at ALL.

And good musician or not, my musical tastes are my musical tastes. I don’t need a “good musician” to influence them or validate my opinion on something so subjective any more than I need a political science professor to tell me who to vote for or an art major to tell me what paintings look good.
